Introduction to Dr. Mamidipudi Krishnamurthi and his contributions.
Champion of Science, Social Work, and Music
Our father Dr Mamidipudi Krishnamurthi was a scientist with a deep interest in propagating science and engineering in the country. He retired as Chief Controller R&D of DRDO. Prior to that he was a part of intelligence agency of the country and was instrumental in setting up communication monitoring networks along the borders of the country. Prior to that he held faculty positions in Indian Institute of Science and Osmania University. In addition to Science, he was involved in social work post- retirement. He was a keen student of history, politics and Classical music. He was well recognized for his singing as well as playing carnatic music on the violin
She has an abiding interest in Movies, Carnatic music as well as music from the movies.
Introduction to Mamidipudi Lakshmidevi.
Mamidipudi Lakshmidevi is a shining example of an Indian woman who grew up in the pre-independence era. She travelled to various parts of India, imbibed the culture and learnt the local languages eventually becoming a self-taught polyglot. She raised four sons almost single handedly instilling values like family traditions, hard work, respect for all, compassion and dignity of labour. She is instrumental in the development of a physically challenged grand daughter into a strong and independent woman. Lakshmidevi’s life is a testament to her strength, resilience and all that is good about the Indian family system.
